Job Overview: As the Commercial HVAC Service Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the service operations and managing a team of talented technicians. You will be our service department and ensure the delivery of exceptional HVAC maintenance, repair, and installation services to our commercial clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in HVAC systems, and a proven track record of effectively managing service operations to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the commercial HVAC service department, including service technicians, dispatchers, and support staff, to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Develop and implement service policies, procedures, and standards to streamline operations, maximize productivity, and maintain high-quality service levels.
  • Oversee service scheduling, dispatching, and coordination of resources to optimize technician utilization and respond promptly to customer service requests.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, such as service response times, first-time fix rates, and customer satisfaction scores, and take corrective actions as needed to achieve service goals.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to service technicians, troubleshooting complex HVAC issues, and assisting with diagnosis and repair as necessary.
  • Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance the technical skills and knowledge of service team members, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Stay updated on the latest HVAC technologies, products, and service techniques, sharing insights and recommendations with the team to improve service capabilities and efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients, acting as the primary point of contact for service inquiries, concerns, and escalations.
  • Collaborate with sales and account management teams to identify opportunities for service contract renewals, upsells, and cross-sells, leveraging customer feedback and insights to drive business growth.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly, demonstrating a commitment to delivering exceptional service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Enforce safety protocols and compliance with regulatory requirements, ensuring that all service activities are conducted in accordance with OSHA guidelines and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, toolbox talks, and training sessions to promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability among service team members.
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work orders, equipment maintenance logs, and safety documentation, to ensure compliance and facilitate reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the HVAC industry, with a strong background in service and maintenance of commercial and residential HVAC systems.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role, demonstrating effective leadership, team management, and the ability to drive results.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
  • Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, technical manuals, and specifications related to HVAC systems.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations, codes, and compliance standards within the HVAC industry.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients, technicians, and other stakeholders in a professional and customer-oriented manner.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with HVAC service software and MS Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Potential earnings can be up to $140,000-$150,000 with bonus
