JOB SUMMARY:

The Town Trip Driver is a fun and exciting way to join the on-mountain ski industry and the Monarch family. This department is an upbeat, active, and outdoor department that provides opportunities to earn and play in the mountains. The Town Trip Driver runs errands in to town and other locations as requested by the Management Team, always representing Monarch in a professional manner. A Colorado Commercial Driver’s License is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The Town Trip Driver responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Be an effective employee within the guidelines of department and company policies, procedures and values, in fulfillment of Monarch’s mission statement to “provide our guests with a quality, personalized mountain experience.”
• Work in conjunction with other employees and departments as part of the Monarch team.
• Establish a routine for town trips and record keeping, verifying order information with departments as necessary.
• Drive to the necessary errand locations; purchase and deliver orders and invoices promptly and accurately to departments.
• Call the Administrative office prior to returning for additional items that may be needed.
• Pick-up mail from mailbox in Monarch/Garfield; drop-off outgoing mail to post office.
• Work with Ticket Sales personnel for bank runs.
• Responsible for the proper operation and cleanliness of assigned vehicle.
• Responsible for filling out vehicle operations log as required, and properly reporting any operating issues.
• Sort, package and deliver recycle and debris/trash materials to appropriate locations.
• Observe all posted speed limits, road signage and road requirements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Age: 21
• Legal citizen of the United States or possess other proper work permit authentication.
• High School Diploma or GED required, college degree preferred.
• A valid Driver’s License, and a good, company insurable driving record is required.
• Background check required.
• Must know how to properly drive in very adverse winter conditions and on steep mountain passes.
• Current Colorado CDL-B license with P2 endorsement preferred.
• Requires stretching, bending, shoveling, and lifting moderate to heavy loads (90 lbs).
• Requires working at high elevation (up to 12,000’), with extended exposure to adverse weather conditions, such as severe cold, heavy snowfall, rain, strong winds and intense sun.

JOB TYPE:  Summer Seasonal, Temporary/Part Time (June-August)

COMPENSATION:

• Begins at $19 per hour, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience/length of service.
