Powell Electronics has an opportunity to join our Product Management team. Knowledge of connectors, switches and relays is required. The successful candidate will have a mechanical or electrical engineering background / education and some experience with interconnect applications. An understanding of the electronic component market and the competitive landscape is also required. Duties and expectations are as follows: Develop strategies to continue to promote Powell's position as a market leader Gain substantive additional market share for Powell Develop and maintain strong vendor relations Identify new product lines that offer strength and synergy to Powell's portfolio Provide technical support for Sales and assist is new design development Asse (inventory) management Provide ongoing training for the sales team and keep them informed on product updates and market news Maximize profitability Qualifications include: High level written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills required A proven passion for, and evidence of, professional level negotiations required Expert knowledge of Microsoft office required College degree required SAP experience required Sales experience preferred Professional certification a plus
