Your Role: As a Customer Service Engineer, you will be an essential part of our customer service team, ensuring our high-end power systems operate flawlessly. You will engage with customers directly, providing expert support and maintaining the integrity of their power systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise: Perform startup, commissioning, service, and preventive maintenance on LayerZero equipment, including:
    • Static transfer switches
    • Power distribution units
    • Remote power panels
  • Customer Support: Offer exceptional customer service on-site, via email, and phone.
  • Service Records: Maintain detailed and timely service records in our system.
  • Emergency Response: Provide rapid response for critical incidents, including participation in our 24/7 incident response team.
What You Bring:
  • Required:
    • Hands-on service experience with electric power systems.
    • Strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills.
    • Proficiency in reading diagrams and schematics.
    • Familiarity with programming printed circuit boards using PC-based programs.
    • Safety awareness and knowledge of electrical PPE.
    • Clean driving record.
    • US Citizenship or C1 Permanent Resident Alien status.
  • Preferred:
    • Associate degree in an electrical field.
    • Electronics or electrical training from military service.
Work Location & Travel:
  • Training: Initial training at Headquarters in Northern Ohio.
  • Field Work: Service assignments at customer sites across the US and Canada, with required travel.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work weekends or holidays as needed.
