They are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their dynamic team and contribute to the continued growth and success.
Position Summary: Seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with a proven track record in managing commercial and government contract projects. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in electrical contracting, project management, and an ability to oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of commercial construction and government contracting projects in the Washington, DC area.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and budget management.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and all stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including adherence to building codes and safety standards.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and ensure that projects are completed to the highest standards of quality.
  • Oversee all aspects of quality control, ensuring that projects meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Coordinate internal resources and manage third-party vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Handle project-related documentation, including submittals, training materials, as-built documents, change orders, and other necessary records.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical contracting project management, with a focus on commercial and government projects.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working within the Washington, DC area is preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with computer-based estimating tools and techniques.
  • In-depth knowledge of the National Electric Code (NFPA 70).
  • 30-Hour OSHA Certification required within the first year of employment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage teams and foster collaboration.
  • Exceptional time management and analytical abilities.
  • Licensed electrician (preferred) or significant relevant field experience.
  • Ability to pass a DMV report, background check, and drug screening.
  • Must be able to work in-person at project sites.
