POWER Engineers is Hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer Near Overland Park, KS
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
- Professional Engineering License with the ability to be licensed in additional states
- United States citizenship
- Extensive experience in the design and specification of low and medium voltage power distribution systems, lighting systems, and special systems for industrial and commercial facilities
- Capable of performing all electrical engineering tasks associated with the project including proposals, design and drafting, engineering calculations, cost estimating, client reviews, and construction support
- Ability to work as a team with multiple discipline leads, PMs and others to manage all the Electrical efforts for the project team while supporting the needs of other disciplines to effectively coordinate or lead a project.
- Ability and desire to mentor junior or mid-level electrical engineers and designers
- Solid foundation in design and drafting utilizing AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Effective in prioritizing and setting deadlines, while also adapting to change
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with cross-disciplinary team members and clients
- Proven ability to take ownership of Electrical project scope and drive team and client to successful completion
- Ability to promote and market electrical scope and personal skills to new and existing clients
- Food & Beverage Industry experience
- Prior Consulting/Engineering Services experience
- Prior experience with capital projects as a direct employee of a manufacturing company
- Project management experience
- Autodesk REVIT experience a strong plus
- An interest in managing a group of direct reports
