As an IT Helpdesk Support Technician, you will work collaboratively with the helpdesk team which is responsible for addressing tickets sent by users for resolution. You will provide customer service and technical support, as well as troubleshooting hardware and software issues. The incumbent will ensure that all IT-related problems are resolved promptly and efficiently, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in IT who want to learn and grow. Considering the landscape of our industry, this position is 100% onsite.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues and escalate user issues to the IT manager when necessary
  • Assist with setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, software and peripherals
  • Respond to helpdesk tickets, phone calls, and emails from end-users and provide timely updates and feedback regarding the status of their request.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and resolve technical problems and document all support activities and resolutions in the helpdesk ticketing systems.
  • Assist in the deployment of new hardware and software and ensure all IT equipment is functioning properly and is up to date.
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining network infrastructure and security and help manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights
  • Escalate issues related to network and application and manage IT inventory.
  • Recognizes and reports system outages that affect multi-users and document actions taken to resolve the issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 1 years’ experience in an IT support role preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with building and break-fix workstations and printers
  • Understanding of Network and Wireless concept (LAN/WAN)
  • Experience in configuring handheld scanners, a plus
  • Familiar with Active Directory concepts
  • Experience in server configuration and setup, a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bilingual English and Spanish, preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • A strong commitment to working with a team, acting with urgency, and doing the right thing
  • Adaptable and flexible with the ability to work well under pressure and in challenging situations
  • Self-starter and open to learning.

  • CompTIA A
  • Networking
