Senior or Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer

Nashua, NH area

Salary To: $140K Plus

Power Technology Associates, Inc. is conducting a search for an experienced engineer with a background in the design, development and test of power electronics products. As part of the engineering team, the Senior Electrical Design Engineer will have the opportunity to see products through from the engineering prototype phase to series production. You will be responsible for the design and development of custom test fixtures used to test printed circuit boards and power converters both in-house, and by contract manufacturers. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented and motivated engineer who enjoys the challenges of multi-tasking various engineering disciplines including hardware, software, and mechanical design.

Responsibilities:

  • Write requirements specifications for PCB and product test solutions.
  • Architect test methodologies for new product designs.
  • Design, build and troubleshoot analog and digital circuitry for use in ATE.
  • Design product test fixtures and specify required test equipment.
  • Implement production test scripts in Python.
  • Define and conduct new product qualification testing.
  • Write manufacturing test procedures.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to test technicians and assembly personnel.
  • Analyze test data to facilitate manufacturing process control.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3 - 10 years of experience in product and/or test engineering.
  • Analog and Power and Digital circuit design.
  • Proficiency with schematic capture tools.
  • Proficiency with common laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, DMMs, and signal generators.
  • Experience in circuit prototyping & troubleshooting, including hands-on debugging in the lab.
  • Familiarity with Python and GitHub.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
