Hi! I am looking for a passionate and experienced fitness instructor to take on a series of small group classes directed at glute development for women of all ages and ability levels.
Pay is $60/class. The shift runs approximately 2p-6:30p on Saturdays.
THE ROLE
Every shift will comprise of several 1-hour long classes some breaks. Classes will be capped at 4 people. The job involves:
(1) programming for your classes, customizing and tailoring each program to suit the individual needs of the clients in each class; and
(2) training clients with energy & enthusiasm!
This job does NOT contain any sales or maintenance. Our goal is to uplift women and create community. We're looking for someone who is interested in being a source of motivation and inspiration.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Certification from an accredited organization
- Competence with standard barbell lifts & their main variants
- Understanding of strength training periodization, such as is routinely used in modern powerlifting training
- 1 years of experience being a group fitness instructor or personal trainer
- Excellent interpersonal skills
ABOUT US & INTENT
Training will occur out of Powerform, a small gym in Rockridge, Oakland. Powerform is a humble place, straightforward, no-nonsense. We have been providing high quality private and semi-private training for 21 years.
Glute camp represents an expansion of our services. We will be building these classes from scratch. If things go well, there will be opportunity for the role to grow. The ideal candidate will not only act as a trainer, but will help me develop our glute camp classes and the instructor role itself through regular discussion and feedback.
