- Ensure that all materials are used in a safe, damage-free, and efficient manner.
- Monitor vehicle and equipment performance and request maintenance and repairs when necessary.
- Check all steps in the installation and finish process for efficiency and quality.
- Be available to complete any task on the job site, as needed.
- Clock in and out according to company policy.
- Ensure each field apprentice employee is clocking in & each employee reporting to their assigned position.
- Adhere to all established safety standards and procedures to protect employees and the Company.
- Conduct weekly safety meetings
- Ensure that each job assigned is completed with an accident-free record. Generates high quality work in alliance with the vision and mission of Powerfull Electric.
- Works to establish, adjust, and maintain work sequences to meet the construction schedule for a given project.
- Organizes and coordinates all of the project materials and equipment.
- Reads and interprets specifications, contract documents, plans, and prepares sketched of proposed work as well as producing layout drawings and code calculations for projects.
- Analyzes and quickly resolves any work problems and may arise and ensures that all deficiencies on any given project are corrected in a timely manner.
- Leads by example—sets, monitors, and enforces the standards of safety, and exemplary quality of work set forth by Powerfull Electric.
- Conducts quality control inspections on project sites.
- Coordinates with all other trades working on a job site to ensure smooth transitions.
- Seek out opportunities to improve methods, processes, and procedures to benefit the company.
- Generates high quality work in alliance with the vision and mission of Powerfull Electric.
- Works to establish, adjust, and maintain work sequences to meet the construction schedule for a given project.
- Submit work or activity reports according to Company policy.
- Notify Project Manager or Chief Operations Officer immediately of safety issues, schedule changes, absenteeism, or other problems as they arise.
- Check delivered (or loaded) material and supplies for quantity and type before accepting it use on a job.
- Maintain good, business-like relations with other trades, suppliers, and clients.
- Adhere to and enforce Company policies with regard to ethics, conduct, and appearance.
- Complete all Employee Performance Evaluations for positions reporting to this position in accordance within company policy and in an accurate and timely manner.
- Perform all other tasks assigned by the President or, in the President’s absence, by the Chief Operations Officer, or Project Manager.
- When applicable, train new employees.
- Has a clear understanding of the latest edition of the NEC.
- Demonstrates understanding and enthusiastic agreement with the vision and mission
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a journeyman in the installation,
blueprints, schematics and sketches.
- Experience using hand tools, small power tools, shop machines, and heavy
- Experience inspecting installation sites.
- Experience studying work orders, building plans, and installation manuals in order to
- Experience reading contract drawings.
- Experience installing and mounting electronic controls, device panels, sensors, and
- Experience installing, assembling, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic
electrical equipment following drawings of electrical layouts and building plans.
- Ability to perform interlock wiring as required.
- Experience testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring,
- Ability to appropriately diagnose malfunctions in systems, apparatus, and
take appropriate steps to correct the problem.
- Ability to instruct and train workers to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring,
- Has a clear understanding of the latest edition of the NEC.
- Pass a background check, including drug test.
