PPG is Hiring a Development Technician Near Gainesville, TX
Key Responsibilities
- Process prototype powder formulations using powder processing equipment
- Application of powder coating formulations
- Color-matching of powder coatings
- Testing and summarizing experimental results
- Ability to complete projects according to outlined scope within the established timeline
- Communication skills and the ability to work closely with other colleagues across the laboratory
- Flexibility in daily activities due to shifting priority
- Maintain and grow an understanding of relevant formulation and applications processes, as well as evaluation of samples using established methods.
- Work safely, following all lab procedures and contribute to the maintenance of high safety standards.
- Keep a clean work environment, to include the execution of routine upkeep activities in support of the entire lab
- A High School diploma or GED is required
- 1-2 years of lab experience (2 years college training in math/science or applicable associate’s degree is beneficial)
- Strong math skills and high school chemistry is preferred
- Computer skills including Word and Excel are required
- Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
