As the Production Project Coordinator, you will prepare and report on daily/weekly/monthly critical operations KPIs. Provide project management support for cross-functional teams. Prepare Excel analysis and PowerPoint reports of operational related activities, i.e. Performance to Plan, Cost Analysis and Trends. Prepare detailed reports for critical manufacturing areas recommending mitigating and improvement actions. This position is based on site at our Sylmar, CA facility. You will report to the Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities

• Monitors and directs or performs day-to-day operations’ coordination analytics to ensure that policies and procedures are being followed, that goals and objectives are met, and that services and projects are being accomplished.
• Support Process and Programs Engineering in their roles to provide the coordination and leadership on actions. Manage internal preparations for and responses to internal and customer information
• Supports SQDC activities in coordination with Operations’ Manager. Supports RCCAs as needed. Plans, organizes, administers, reviews and evaluates the work of cross-functional teams - professional, technical, support and operational staff where present - through potential delegation, supervision and lead workers.
• Apply techniques of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Cellular Manufacturing, Six Sigma, etc. to improve manufacturing operations. Support training activities in this area as necessary. Work with shop personnel to ensure successful use of these tools in manufacturing.
• Prepare reports and presentations on manufacturing performance and other issues
• Review productivity improvement suggestions from manufacturing personnel and coordinate responses

Qualifications

• US Citizen
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering or a similar technical discipline.
• Training in MRP, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S
• Experience working in a manufacturing site. Ideally, knowledge of the Aerospace industry.
• 5 years of experience in operations.
• Ability to manage and/or coordinate all functions and to develop good working relationships in a complex matrix organization are essential to providing the level of service necessary to meet customer expectations, achieve business growth and enhance SBU profitability.
• Analytical mindset with skills in statistical methods, graphical representation of data, pivot tables, Power BI and some VBA skills are helpful.
• Ability to travel up to 20%
• Salary Range $95,,000-$105,600 plus annual bonus
