PPM TECHNOLOGIES HOLDINGS LLC is Hiring a Wiring Tech Near Newberg, OR

In this position you would:

  • Assemble control panels from schematics prepared by engineering group.
  • Connect wires to PLC’s, motors, VFD’s, circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
  • Wire prepping, crimping, soldering and red line documentation
  • Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such as motors.
  • Assists other departments as required and other duties as assigned

Can you apply these knowledge, skills and abilities?

  • Ability to read/interpret technical drawings (AutoCAD, blueprints, etc.)
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective safety operations regarding electrical systems. Must be highly safety conscious.
  • Must show good initiative, organization and follow-through.
  • Strong communication skills, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to be resourceful in looking for solutions to overcome any issue
  • Knowledge of food processing or related product lines and general knowledge of a custom machinery environment and food handling systems preferred
  • Must work well within a team and at the same time be able to make independent decisions.

Do you possess this level of Education and/or Experience?

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 2-5 years previous experience with electrical/electronic control panel building in a manufacturing environment preferred.
