Responsibilities :

This individual would be responsible for producing estimates for service (lighting, electrical, plumbing and HVAC). They do not need to have a technical background in any of these services.

It is just a matter of gathering the information and typing up the quote.

Basic Job Responsibilities :

• Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Maintains contact and relationships with private individuals and other organizations.
• dentifies labor, material, and time requirements.
• Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
• Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Presents prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
• Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains cost database by entering and backing up data.
• Continually updates technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Estimator Qualifications and Skills :

Strong analytic abilities

• Working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and word processing programs
• Ability to coordinate and work independently
• Understanding of trades documents a plus
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints a plus

Education and Experience Requirements :

• Highschool Diploma
• 3 years’ experience in construction

Prior customer service experience would be helpful since this position requires significant communication with our clients and contractors.
