About the Job

With continued years of growth we are continuing to rapidly expand our presence in the U.S. We are looking for an experienced technical sales leader to further develop a defined region by identifying and quickly growing new strategic accounts. You will have the opportunity to join our team in the Chicago office 1-2 days a week when not traveling, and work from home. PR electronics US headquarters is located in a new modern office providing a phenomenal work environment in Chicago's West Loop. You will have the opportunity to travel throughout the central states in a focused approach to significantly increase sales and market presence. Our company offers exciting travel abroad to our global headquarters and manufacturing facility in Denmark for onboarding and continuous training.

Essential Functions

  • Identify and grow new OEMs, panel manufacturers, end users and other key accounts within a geographic territory to drive exponential US expansion using value selling techniques for highly engineered products.
  • Grow revenue with best in class product line focused on signal conditioning in a variety of industries and applications by coordinating with sales partners.
  • Develop a sales strategy for increasing market presence and competitive product conversion in your area.
  • An essential part of this role is to build an end user and customer data base utilizing our CRM system for contacts, pipeline management and communication.
  • Become an extension of customer engineering and quality teams by developing into PR electronics technical expert for a variety of applications and industry segments.
  • Support GAM initiatives by coordinating with local sales team at their respective locations and with the head of global accounts.
  • Problem solve and develop complete solutions by collaborating with internal teams.
  • Support and identify new growth opportunities at current customers within region.
  • Provide product training for your direct customers and other end users with virtual training, lunch and learns, and after hours training.
  • Support sales and marketing initiatives along with new product launches to grow sales and increase market share.
  • Willing to travel frequently to support customer needs and hunt new opportunities.

Drive the business with the following qualifications:

  • 5 years of sales experience with highly engineered technical products and/or solutions using value selling techniques.
  • Proven track record of identifying and growing new business opportunities at OEMs, contractors, end users and other types of key and global accounts.
  • Experience in process measurement and control, automation, motion control and industrial process is preferred.
  • Ability to quickly build strong, long term relationships with engineering, sourcing, quality teams and installers to develop and implement growth strategy for each customer.
  • Solid experience in business development is a plus.
  • Bachelor degree in engineering or equivalent experience as a technician, field or maintenance engineer is preferred.
  • A dedicated user of CRM systems to support customers and build market intelligence.
  • Ability to work from home when not traveling.
  • 70% travel within the US. Primarily the travel will be in mid-west and parts of the south.
  • Ability to travel to Denmark once every 1-2 years for onboarding and continuous training. Willingness to travel to other European countries should the need arise for additional training or support of global customers.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year plus attractive incentive, dependent on relevant experience. Top tier heath care plan is also included as part of the compensation package.
