Tour Operator Account Manager

Our growing company is looking for a dedicated and personable tour and travel account manager who will maintain client accounts and serve as the liaison between the company and key partners. The ideal candidate will have a drive for sales, a passion for providing exceptional customer service, as well as achieving revenue goals. Qualifications:

  • Sales-oriented and understanding of sales techniques, parameters, strategies, market research, customer service and product management.
  • Ability to draft press and news releases to highlight client news.
  • Ability to operate both independently and in teams while being results-oriented.
  • Work experience in the hospitality and tourism industry as a tour operator, online travel distribution, or in business development (Preferred).
  • Online and technical affinity with a good understanding of requirements and process management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be able to work under pressure to achieve revenue goals.
  • Proven track record of achievement of targets and personal objectives.
  • Some Knowledge of Business Technology (i.e., CRM/ SAP/Opera/ Delphi)
  • Understanding of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and Outlook software.
  • Excellent Customer Care and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for a portfolio of accounts that represent significant gross revenue for the Company. These accounts are mainly USA-based but not limited to this territory.
  • Building and maintaining trusted relationships with key client executives and travel managers to achieve long-term partnerships.
  • Support the broader team by offering ideas, attending brainstorming sessions to develop strategic plans, and ensuring KPIs are being met.
  • Maintain accurate client records, keeping track of any contract updates and renewals.
  • Provide input and manage the implementation of new and existing campaigns, identify and help plan promotional events.
  • Think ahead, prepare for, and anticipate issues and challenges to projects, highlighting critical considerations to the team leader.
  • Liaise with critical accounts and Managers to solve ongoing issues, aggregating and analyzing feedback.
  • Periodically plan the region’s demand and actively seek potential business opportunities.
  • Respond to partners' inquiries and requests in a timely manner.
  • Supporting the Director of Sales on key client relationships, strategies, and programs/campaigns.
  • Share exciting articles and trends with the team and client where appropriate.
  • Analyze and validate business plans that provide information about customers, travel retail landscape, distribution strategy, and pricing.
  • Monitor marketing assortment and identify opportunities to drive revenue.
  • Assist Senior Management in strengthening customer relationships while exploring new business opportunities with customers.
  • Implementation of customer projects in collaboration with internal departments.
  • Assist in trade terms negotiations and closely monitor the execution of agreements.
  • Conduct periodic meetings and calls with clients, using this as a platform to increase spending across various methods, including new technologies, budget analysis, and negotiation with travel providers.
  • Engage in continuous client negotiations regarding criteria such as retention, bookings, trading value and revenue.
  • Develop and execute internal client strategy, account, and stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Analyze and interpret meetings/congress, travel and payment data.
  • Prepare and deliver reports related to their function.
  • Cooperation in the elaboration and implementation of sales strategies, sales campaigns, and tactics. Implementation feasibility analysis, visualization control.
  • To identify critical opportunities with key customers on how to develop and grow market share/volume with the critical retail customers within their remit.
  • Effective negotiation of cost prices, promotional calendars, and trading terms, including all contractual agreements.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team, finance, and operations teams to ensure key brand strategies are met.
  • Parity: Review and respond to parity questions. Review of sites, detection of incidents, analysis of causes and solutions. Reports violations of other channels. Interaction with other departments/segments in parity questions and implementation of solutions.
  • Connectivity: Resolution of connectivity bugs between HBSI and Channel Managers. Mapping and remapping.
  • Revenue: Interrelation with Revenue for changes in rates, restrictions and inventory.
  • Group Sales: Send a quote for group leads received by the accounts. Be able to respond in a timely manner and do the proper follow-up to close the business.
  • Content: Review and monitor updates of images and hotel information on public sites. Cooperation with DOS to review hotel information. Creation of new content.
  • Be able to support other sales departments when needed, such as but not limited to the group contract process, inside sales administrative work, and agency direct sales.
  • Flexibility in attending networking events and work trips representing the Company, as well as hosting presentations and training sessions for partners and potential clients.
  • Any other duties and responsibilities the company requires.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
