Practice Information
- One Advanced Heart Failure physician is needed to join group of nine cardiologists.
- Reading ECHO and nuclear studies are optional but available if desired.
- The McKay Dee Heart Failure Clinic mission is directed at reducing re-admissions: annual clinic re-admission rate of
- McKay Dee Hospital has one of the lowest 30 day heart failure re-admission rate in the country at 17% compared to 25% national average.
- Opportunities for clinical research exist: McKay Dee Heart Failure clinic is one of only 75 sites in the world enrolling patients in the pivotal LAPTOP-HF trial
- Current additional heart failure clinical services provided at McKay Dee Heart Failure Clinic include ultrafiltration and care coordination for patients with mechanical circulatory support including Heart Mate II and Heartware HVAD devices
- Call is 1 in 9. General cardiology call coverage is partitioned equally between nine cardiologists for weekdays and weekends.
- Board Certified/ Board Eligible in Heart Failure
- Unrestricted Utah MD or DO license or the ability to obtain an unrestricted license
- U.S. ACGME Residency
