PracticeLink is Hiring a Hospitalist Physician Job with Lifespan Physician Group in Newport, RI Near Newport, RI

Newport Hospital, an affiliated partner of the Lifespan Physician Group, the largest physician organization in Rhode Island, has an opening for a part-time nocturnist. This position requires a 2024 or early 2025 start date and cannot support a J1 waiver.
About the job:
  • Competitive salary DOE with additional quality bonus potential
  • EMR is EPIC
  • 6 shifts per month; additional shifts available if desired
  • Open ICU and ability to intubate is required – ER physicians will act as back up
  • Shifts are 8pm-8am
  • Patient load/encounters 15 /- 3 over a 12-hour day shift
  • Outstanding benefits package
  • Malpractice Insurance covered with tail
  • Additional moonlighting opportunities available
  • CME/licensing/privileges/DEA allowance $3,500 per year
  • Research opportunities if desired
  • H1b visa friendly
  • PSLF eligible
About you:
  • Board certified or eligible in internal or family medicine
  • Comfortable and competent with intubations
  • Bring a love of job and a passion for evidence-based hospital medicine
  • Excellent communication skills with colleagues and staff
About Newport Hospital: Founded in 1873 as a 12-bed cottage hospital, Newport Hospital is a state-of-the-art, award-winning health care facility that offers a wide array of services to the community. In addition to an emergency department that treats patients from Newport and surrounding towns, the hospital provides diagnostic and surgical services and is home to the renowned Vanderbilt Rehabilitation Center and the award-winning Noreen Stonor Drexel Birthing Center.
Lifespan Physician Group: LPG is the physician organization of Lifespan, Rhode Island's first health system which was founded in 1994 by Rhode Island Hospital and The Miriam Hospital. In addition to the 50 primary care providers and 70 practices, Lifespan's present partners also include Rhode Island Hospital's pediatric division, Hasbro Children's Hospital; Bradley Hospital; Newport Hospital; and Gateway Healthcare.
