(Morgantown, WV) West Virginia University (WVU) School of Medicine, Department of Pathology, Anatomy & Laboratory Medicine (PALM) seeks a Cytopathologist for an open-rank faculty appointment to meet the needs of our expanding Health System. This is an opportunity to practice cytopathology exclusively or in conjunction with surgical pathology. Applicants with specialty expertise are encouraged to apply, including interest in breast; gynecologic, genitourinary and lung pathologies.
Duties : The successful candidate will join our existing cytopathology faculty. Cytopathologists are supported by Telecytology systems used for rapid on-site evaluations (ROSE). Active involvement in teaching our medical students, residents, and cytopathology fellows is required.
Qualifications :

• MD, MD/PhD or DO degree
• Board certified/eligible in AP or AP/CP
• Fellowship in cytopathology or have substantial experience signing out specialty case material
• Eligible to obtain a state medical license

About the Department : WVU PALM is a growing department consisting of faculty in AP, CP, Translational Pathology, Anatomical Sciences and Medical Laboratory Sciences. Clinical AP services are supported by advanced Digital Pathology and Telepathology systems, and state-of-the-art ancillary testing (IHC, cytogenetics, FISH, NGS) is performed onsite. Faculty research activities are supported by the PALM Tissue Bank, Research Histology Lab, Brain Bank and the Rapid Development Laboratory.
