Head Chef - Salaried Position

The Prairie du Chien Country Club is located near the beautiful confluence of the Wisconsin and Mississippi Rivers approximately six miles from historic Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.

Our beautiful 18-hole golf course and full-service restaurant, bar and event pavilion are seeking a qualified individual for the position of Head Chef.

The Head Chef is responsible for cooking and preparing innovative menu items, along with the overall operations and profitability of the restaurant and special events. Duties include overseeing staff, monitoring inventory, purchasing goods, services, and supplies, as well as creating, and ensuring quality customer service and compliance with food and beverage regulations.

This individual will display a professional style and use good leadership and team-building skills. They will be responsible for hiring, training and scheduling employees. Duties will include coordinating business and events with the Golf Course General Manager, promoting and advertising the restaurant, bar, and event services. Reports to the Golf Course General Manager and ultimately the Country Club's Board of Directors.

Culinary school education desired and/or 3 to 5 years of experience preferred. Flexible hours during the off-season, paid vacation, complimentary golf and cart fees, Simple Plan IRA, and employee discount.

Available to start work immediately.

Salary range: $36,000-$50,000 commensurate with experience and education. 120-day salary review. Please send cover letter, resume and at least two references.
