REPORTS TO: AgFinance & Credit Business Manager STATUS: Exempt
Purpose And Summary StatementEstablishes and manages a portfolio of operating lines of credit products for agricultural producer clients within the assigned territory while generating profitability and maximizing organic growth through key marketing activities.
Essential Job Functions
  • Responsible for interviewing applicants and requesting specified information for loan applications.
  • Analyzes applicant’s financial status, credit, banking status, and other information to determine the feasibility of granting a loan and corresponds with applicant or creditors to resolve questions regarding the information.
  • Compiles loan package and facilitates negotiation structure with an applicant, including fees, loan repayment options, and other credit terms. Submits loan package within specified limits and refers to the committee for approval.
  • Assists in developing Agri-Finance marketing plans and programs specific to assigned territory.
  • Implements marketing plan strategy through direct calls/visits to targeted customers to promote and sell products and services and by compiling and analyzing market research data. Generates and screens leads while following policies and procedures and attains new business relationships and product sales.
  • Provide leadership and training on Agri-Finance marketing programs to company salespeople and assist in using finance to target customers to promote and sell products and services.
  • Attends sales meetings, provides timely updates on progress toward sales goals, and promotes and cross-sells other products and services as appropriate.
Other Job Functions
  • Responds to customer information requests or inquiries involving agricultural operating lines of credit.
  • Reviews customer marketing plans and analyzes changes in the market and their impact on repayment ability.
  • Review delinquent accounts and contact customers to collect past due balances and report to management repayment ability.
  • Recommends or refers accounts to management for legal actions against debtors.
  • Supports and contributes to total company goals and objectives through collaboration efforts.
  • Responsible for maintaining the assigned vehicle according to company standards, adhering to the uniform policy, and maintaining the appropriate professional image.
  • Follows Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT policies and procedures as they apply.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
RequirementsEducations and Experience
  • Normally requires an associate degree (A. A.) from a two-year college or technical school, or six (6) months to one-year (1) related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Other Requirements
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Must have the ability to travel independently and overnight when necessary.
  • Must be able to work extended hours beyond those considered normal.
  • Occasionally required to lift 21-50 lbs.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in required training, including education on Prairieland’s policies and procedures and additional training related to the position's requirements.
