PRAMAC is Hiring a General Manager Near Sydney, FL

Pramac, part of the third biggest diesel generator and first gas generator manufacturer group in the world, is looking for a General Manager to join the team of Australian subsidiary of Pramac Group. Pramac is a leader in power generation, light tower and material handling systems with a long history of providing premium products.

The General Manager will be included in a 6-12 months succession plan and will be responsible for leading and directing the sales team to achieve short and long-range strategic objectives through successful planning and execution of sales strategies for all channels and regions assigned. Will be responsible for the entire range of sales planning and development, sales promotion, and sales activities. This role drives market/field/end user input back to the organization to improve positioning with programs, product development, and end user support.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Design and direct the work of the functional area. Select, coach and develop the team, setting objectives that align with company strategy to inspire and motivate the team.
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Achieve margin objectives, by providing input on pricing strategy for all products and markets with the goal of achieving margin objectives established.
  • Grow sales of existing and new products through strengthened account relationships, including penetration into customers’ management and executive levels.
  • Establishes and maintains critical retail and industry contacts representing the company to key customers.
  • Plans for and oversees sales meetings, trade shows and hosts site-visits for key business partners.
  • Conducts monthly operational reviews on key customer support issues, performance reports, and competitive pricing and promotion analysis.
  • Develops and manages sales and operating budgets.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Clear understanding and knowledge of the internal processes and systems to support the accounts; proven business planning, budgeting, and P&L skills;
  • Ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial culture;
  • Advanced negotiation skills;
  • Complex account management skills;
  • Ability to analyze financials;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Excellent presentation skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills;

BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCES REQUIRED:

  • Complete higher education;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising sales teams
  • An experience in the power generation (i.e. portable and stationary diesel and petrol generator) will be considered as a plus.
  • Working knowledge of the dynamics between distribution and the subsequent end user;
  • Proven success in developing and fostering business relationships within distributors;
