Reporting Structure: Reports to Tasting Room Manager.

Requirements– Lead with integrity, honesty, and experience while promoting an environment focused on excellent customer service, hospitality, and sales. Represent Waterbrook in a positive and professional manner.

Core Initiatives:

  • Identify, create, and execute business plans to significantly increase sales and profit of the wine club and direct email channels.
  • Grow wine club membership dramatically by designing and implementing best practices, maximizing onsite conversions, and undertaking creative marketing programs.
  • Retain existing Waterbrook Wine Club Members through customer engagement, consistent follow-up, and outstanding customer service, resulting in increased sales and longevity of membership.
  • Create effective marketing programs including e-mail blasts, promotional materials, events, and packages for our members.
  • Act with a willingness to experiment and try new things to push the boundaries of a traditional club and e-commerce business to make the business something extraordinary.
  • Manage the budget and P&L to deliver quarterly revenue goals.

Specifics:

  • Manage budgets and P&L’s for wine club and all direct channels.
  • Increase wine club membership, sales and profitability
  • Offer beyond expectation customer service
  • Train and motivate tasting room staff to grow club membership, retain club members and support activities, working closely with the TR Manager and VP of Retail and Hospitality
  • Track business with wine club and direct channel metrics; create new reports as needed
  • Develop wine club events working closely with the management team to coordinate and execute.
  • Manage inventory, allocations, and shipments to ensure flawless execution of semiannual wine club shipments.
  • Process shipping orders, billing, collect credit card data, and maintain all membership files.
  • Oversee compliance for shipments in conjunction with corporate policies.
  • Create displays and presentations that encourage sales of the wine club.
  • Manage the development of marketing materials pertaining to the club.
  • Maintain winery website including organizing and submitting content to the marketing team while ensuring the shopping cart is functional and up to date.
  • Manage e-mail marketing programs, including developing offers and writing copy with the help of the marketing team
  • Serve as the Tasting Room Lead in the absence of the Tasting Room Manager.
  • Event planning and booking (caterers, musicians, chefs, vendors, etc.)

Summary of Experience

  • 2 years experience in Wine Retail and /or Club Management

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • A passion for and sound knowledge of wine
  • Demonstrated sales ability
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Good sense of humor
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of point of sale
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift items up to 40lbs

This position will average about 20-30 hours per week for part-time, and over 32 hours per week for full-time.
