Role Overview:

As a Field Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in installing, training, servicing, and maintaining our state-of-the-art machinery at customer sites across the U.S. Your expertise in print-finishing, bindery, mailing, and plastic card manufacturing will be essential in providing top-notch technical support and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Installation & Training: Set up and calibrate equipment at customer sites, providing hands-on training to ensure effective operation.

Maintenance & Repair: Perform regular maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.

Customer Support: Offer phone and online technical support, addressing customer inquiries promptly and effectively.

Technical Communication: Liaise with internal teams about parts, service issues, and recommend process improvements.

Travel: Travel across the U.S. for on-site installations, repairs, and training sessions.

Ideal Candidate

We seek a proactive and flexible technician with:

· Experience in plastic card personalization, print-finishing, bindery, and mailing.

· Technical expertise as an inkjet technician, folder operator, or bindery operator.

· Familiarity with equipment from Atlantic Zeiser, Ga-Vehren, Kirk-Rudy, Videojet, Domino, Kodak, Graph-tech, or MCS.

· Strong mechanical and electrical skills, including the ability to read schematics.

· Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications:

· Experience: Minimum 1 year in mechanical knowledge, industrial maintenance, or programmable logic controllers (PLC).

· Skills: Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, high and low voltage knowledge, schematic analysis.

· Education: Relevant technical training or certification preferred.

· Other Requirements: Ability to work independently and in a team, willingness to travel 50%, and capacity to relocate to Wheeling, IL if necessary.

· Travel up to 50%

· Competitive hourly pay: $32.50 - $45.00
