Job SummaryThe production scheduling specialist is responsible for customer communications from post-sale to delivery and all updates to the production schedule in order to help to ensure company production targets are achieved, customers are updated, and products are delivered to customers promptly. The scheduler embodies an open communication system is available where all stakeholders are informed of any changes to the schedule. An outstanding scheduler must command good knowledge of scheduling activities in production environment with exceptional organizational, computer, and communication skills, which will be useful for managing product delivery to clients. The position is self-directed and collaborative. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits.
Essential Job Functions

• Responsible for the handling of customer status.
• Responsible for ensuring accurate daily shipment address confirmation.
• Responsible for investigating and responding to customer requests concerning availability, order expediting, pricing, special items, as well as preferred carriers, special packaging, and shipping criteria
• Establishes and maintains cordial customer relations and sending customer satisfaction surveys post shipping and reminders in regular intervals.
• Follows up on open vendor PO's and notifies purchasing and production of any updates, delays, etc.

Leadership ResponsibilitiesThis position requires flexibility and the ability to coordinate with multiple competing stakeholders including customer, production, and sales.
Required Education And Experience

• Must be outgoing and have a pleasant phone presence.
• Must be articulate, detail-oriented, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED, college degree preferred
• Minimum of a year work experience as a production scheduler or in a similar position in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and planning skills Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take independent initiatives when the need arises.
