Precision Security Team is a veteran owned and operated company in the northern Colorado area. We service areas from Denver, CO to Cheyenne, WY. As an Unarmed Security Officer with Precision Security Team, you will assist with all security-related concerns and other requests as needed to ensure a safe environment for the public at your assigned site. Every Security Officer at Precision Security Team owns the client's experience and their bottom line. It is of the utmost importance to uphold Precision Security Team’s professional image to the client, the public, and law enforcement at all times. It is imperative that you practice and demonstrate Precision Security Team’s core values and code of conduct everyday.

We are looking for individuals to work overnights at construction sites, and individuals to work at wedding venues in Thornton, Boulder, and Littleton. Most weddings are evenings. Please do not apply if you are not available to work nights and/or evenings. This is a flex position, meaning picking up shifts as needed. Weddings are almost consistently daily during the summer.

Duties and Responsibilities: The following are duties you may perform at your site. Duties include but are not limited to:

• interacting with clients, patrons, guests, partners, coworkers, and the public
• maintaining situational awareness at all times
• conducting foot patrols
• denying access to unauthorized personnel
• securing your site and preventing vandalism and theft
• screening and conducting metal detector wanding and bag checks to ensure no contraband is being brought to the site
• performing liquor control, preventing outside alcohol from coming in and inside alcohol from going out of the facility
• monitoring alcohol use and and prevent patrons from over drinking and being overserved
• scanning QR codes/NFC tags around your site
• assisting with emergencies and building evacuations
• utilizing reporting systems and contacting appropriate parties for site situations
• utilizing closed-circuit camera systems and review footage to maintain awareness of the site and its property
• issuing, maintaining, and facilitating badge access for your site
• maintaining confidentiality of all activities within your site
• utilizing verbal judo to de-escalate situations
• utilizing minimal use of force unless the individual poses an imminent physical danger to themselves, someone else, or you
• maintaining a professional and conservative demeanor at all times
• following SOPs at assigned site
• following, communicating, and enforcing local laws and regulations

Precision Security Team or the client can assign other duties to you as necessary at any time.

Pay: Starting base pay rate is $21.50/hour until you acquire the Denver Security Guard License, then your pay will be $22.00/hour.

You have two weeks upon hire to acquire the Denver Security Guard License. You will be given all of the resources on how to do so. Failure to acquire said license will result in forfeiture of all shifts until license is acquired.

Our office is located in Fort Collins. All interviews and training will be held in Fort Collins. Shifts are located in downtown Denver, Thornton, Littleton, and Boulder.

This is a W2 position. Employees working 30 or more hours a week are eligible for health benefits.

Colorado is an at-will employment state.

Hiring Process: Your application will consist of a resume and a Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Assessment. Our hiring process begins with a thorough review of resumes and assessments to identify candidates who align well with our company’s needs. If your resume and assessment stands out, you will receive a call for an initial phone screen. Following a successful phone screen, we will invite you to an in-person interview with the hiring manager and other relevant management team members. Should you advance past this stage, a job offer will be extended to you no less than 24 hours later. After the offer is accepted, we conduct a background check and proceed with online onboarding.

Assessments will be scored based on answering the question, and proper use of grammar and written communication.

During the interview, we ask that you use the S.T.A.R. technique. The STAR technique is a structured method used to answer behavioral interview questions by clearly outlining a Situation, Task, Action, and Result. This approach helps candidates provide comprehensive and well-organized responses that showcase their skills and experiences effectively, and helps candidates provide answers that are coherent, concise, and impactful, making it easier for interviewers to assess their competencies and fit for the role.

Requirements:

Your application will be automatically rejected if you are not 18 years of age or older and/or you do not have a high school diploma or GED.
