Our client is an information technology and cybersecurity company located in Ashburn, Virginia. They primarily serve government and enterprise clients and receive a large number of their contracts from the United States Department of Defense. Responsibilities
Our client is looking for a Systems Engineer to join their team! This position will be based at a customer site in Linthicum, MD. The successful candidate will be part of a growing team that encourages, develops, and implements sophisticated solutions to complex problems. The candidate will identify opportunities to deploy new capabilities that the customer is not currently using or aware of and suggest how best to use them. The candidate will become an expert on agency and federal government regulations and how those regulations are automated by Xacta.
- Become an expert in Federal Regulations and guidelines such as NIST 800-37, 53, 60, 130, and CNSSi 1253 & 1254
- Become an expert in the implementation and deployment of Xacta 360 and Xacta IO
- Become familiar with existing processes and operations to maintain support for the Xacta solution continuously
- Become familiar with new capabilities and advocate for their usage and adoption where appropriate
- Provide consistent and effective feedback to team members, client stakeholders, and end users alike
- Identify, troubleshoot, diagnose, and provide recommendations to remediate issues within the Xacta application set with some oversight and guidance
- Provide new or update existing operational solutions to complex problems as it pertain to Xacta systems administration
- Become familiar with business process engineering best practices while developing the customer's implementation of the Risk Management Framework
- Apply domain knowledge and experience to identify and implement efficiencies in the administration of an Enterprise application Requirements
- 7 years of experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Assurance, or Cyber Security
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, or related field is required
-- 4 additional years of engineering in IT, IA, Cybersecurity can be substituted for a degree
- Experience in system/application administration to include issue capture, troubleshooting, remediation, and implementation
- Experience with engineering technical solutions/capabilities
Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C
- Experience with using API
- Must have some knowledge with system security support IAW ICD 503 / Risk management Framework (RMF) Preferred Requirements
- Linux experience is highly preferred
- DoD 8570/8410 compliance is preferred Education/Certification Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related field is required
- 4 additional years of engineering in IT, IA, Cybersecurity can be substituted for a degree Clearance Requirements
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active TS/SCI, FSP Poly clearance is required (FSP preferably held by the NSA).
