The Community Engagement Manager is a dynamic and pivotal role within Premier Community Supports, LLC, (PCS). This role works directly with company leaders and owners to enhance PCS's visibility within and engagement with our incredible Employees, Individuals, and Communities that we serve. This role encompasses managing social media, event and contest management, and community outreach. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and a key member of the leadership team, committed to fostering a strong connection through outreach in the community and promoting PCS’s services, initiatives, and events.

Essential Duties 

Event Planning:

· Work directly with leadership and collaborate with the management team to conceptualize, plan, and execute a diverse range of internal as well as community events such as social gatherings, holiday celebrations, resource fairs, and other special occasions.

· Coordinate with County Managers, sponsors, and other external partners to secure necessary resources and support for events.

· Research and recommend new event ideas and contest activities to enhance engagement and satisfaction of employees and Individuals served.

· Planning and logistical support, including onsite support, for events with 50 attendees.

· Maintain a calendar of events in Premier Offices and in collaboration with organizational partners.

· Manage all event logistics, ensuring a safe, accessible, and inclusive environment.

Event Coordination:

· Oversee all logistical aspects of events including venue selection, catering, entertainment, rentals, permits, and accommodations.

· Promote events through various channels including social media, newsletters, and community bulletin boards.

· Coordinate internal Staff (such as County Managers & County Manager Assistant’s) efforts and delegate tasks to ensure smooth event execution.

· Manage event registration, ticketing, and attendee communications.

Social Media Presence:

· Create engaging and visually appealing social media content for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn to promote upcoming events and community activities.

· Develop and maintain a social media content calendar and ensure consistent posting schedule.

· Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions related to PCS posts and promptly respond as needed.

· Analyze social media metrics to assess the effectiveness of content and adjust strategies as necessary to increase engagement and reach.

· Serves as primary point of contact for the website, including posting content, providing updates, and maintaining current information.

· Assist a high-level executive in a fast-paced environment with administrative tasks.

· Practice culturally sensitive principles for all materials, exchanges, and contact with Individuals served, employees, and conference attendees. 

· Other duties as assigned.

Employee and Individual Engagement:

· Foster positive relationships with employees and Individuals served, as well as other stakeholders to understand their preferences and interests.

· Develop and facilitate (own) contests and activities for employees and Individuals served, including developing and communicating contest rules, timelines, voting, results, and drawings/prizes for contests.

· Solicit feedback following events and incorporate suggestions for improvement into future planning.

· Serve as a point of contact for employee and Individuals served inquiries related to community events and activities.

Premier offers:

· Accrue up to 80 hours of PTO (paid time off) per year

· 401K offered after 90 days of employment with up to 4% employer match

· Paid 1st and 16th of the month

Requirements

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Event Management or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in social media management, marketing, event planning, and community outreach.
  • A valid Oregon Driver’s License with a clean driving history.
  • Any combination of education and experience may be substituted, so long as it provides the desired skills, knowledge and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

  • Tech savvy:
    • Extensive working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint is desired.
    • Knowledge of web communications, webinar platforms, and social media preferred.
  • Must be able to favorably complete a background investigation.
  • Experience with public speaking and building community relationships.
  • Flexibility to work outside of traditional office hours as needed for events and community meetings.
  • Office environment with regular local travel for community events and meetings.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  

1. Valid driver license, car insurance, and reliable transportation are required.

  • Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.

  • Must have the ability to prepare, proof and review departmental correspondences, policies, and procedures. 
  • Must be able to create effective presentations, spreadsheets, and reports.
  • Must be able to oversee and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines. 
  • Must be able to create a system to ensure success in performing job functions as organization is the key to success in this position. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
