JOB – Estimating Engineer (Stone Masonry and Tile Projects).

LOCATION - Brooklyn, NY

TERM - Permanent

SALARY- $75,000 - $95,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

My client – a stone and tile contractor working predominantly in the Residential and Commercial sectors are on the lookout for an experienced estimator to join the team and work on the delivery of estimations and proposals / project bids for new and existing clients.

The ideal candidate will have experience in understanding scope of work and preparing estimations for upcoming project work.

Those with experience in full project lifecycle work across Residential and Commercial highrise projects will be of particular interest.

The Estimator will ideally have the following attributes:

• BS in Civil / Construction Engineering or similar.
• 3 years' experience in construction estimation and project engineering.
• Full proficiency in reading and understanding Architectural drawings to understand scope of project.
• Strong experience in delivery of estimations based on material, labor, equipment and overhead costs for projects in NYC.
• Have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

The Estimator's role will involve:

• Reviewing construction documents (Drawings, Specifications) in order to understand scope of work to bid.
• Obtaining prices for materials and sub-contractor bids where necessary.
• Preparing cost analysis.
• Supporting Project Engineering teams.
• Liaising with colleagues on other engineering tasks and projects as required
