Residential home appraisal business seeking an ambitious, outgoing, and skilled Virginia State Licensed Real Estate Appraiser. The position is multi-faceted and includes interfacing with customers/homeowners, measuring, taking pictures, data collection and report writing.

Candidate will have a Virginia real estate appraiser license, certified is preferred.

Candidate’s role will be inspecting properties with an elevated level of attention to detail while interacting with homeowners/real estate agents onsite and writing the follow up appraisal report.

We can provide a consistent order flow of up to 25 orders a month at an competitive compensation structure. In addition, the company will provide access to MLS systems, required software and errors and omissions insurance. This is an independent contractor position which requires a non-compete and non-solicitation agreement. We can offer training support and supervision under the guidance of our senior appraisers as needed.

• Prepare all aspects of appraisal report that fully explain assessment results and outline methods used. (report set up, digital sketch, upload photos, comparable selection, data input and reconciliation).
• Document procedure and backup data.
• Keep abreast with all current regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Onsite data collection which includes interior/exterior photos, detailed notes, providing sketch with accurate measurements, etc.
• Willing to travel for inspections throughout greater Hampton Roads area
• Timely delivery of data.

**Number of inspections could vary per week based on aptitude of volume. Position is paid every two weeks as 1099 subcontractor. Pay ranges based on fee split.

**Inspection times are scheduled by office staff.
