We are looking for a Director of Finance to manage our finance and accounting team, work cross functionally with business leaders and manage key external banking, supplier and third-party auditor relationships. This position requires a strong technical accounting background and the ability to simplify complex issues for peers to drive business performance and profitability.
Requirements
Supervisory Responsibilities

• Oversees the operations of the Accounting and Finance Department, which include financial planning and analysis, monthly and weekly reporting, treasury, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and audit and tax activities
• Oversees Accounting team and is responsible for leading and developing

Duties/Responsibilities

• Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk
• Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards
• Recommend benchmarks that will be used to measure the company's performance
• Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management
• Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
• Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit
• Lead, Manage and Develop Accounting and Finance team
• Work cross functionally with operations to lead variance analysis discussions and build process to limit and understand key manufacturing variances
• Work with engineering on product costing accuracy
• Leads physical inventory counts
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements
• Publishes weekly cash forecast and leads necessary treasury management activities
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned

Required Skills/Abilities

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration required
• Ten years or more of related experience required
• Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred
• MBA Preferred

Physical Requirments

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
