Electrical & Instrumentation Construction Project Manager

Contract (6-Months)

Summary of Roles & Responsibilities:

• Reviewing planned activities for constructability, providing accurate feedback, and supporting construction management team
• Providing technical expertise and guidance on all construction related activities
• Ensuring safety, quality, and environmental responsibilities and accountabilities have been defined and communicated to workers engaged within their area(s) of control
• Accountability for supporting site construction and commissioning teams to provide high quality support in accordance with the contract
• Works with engineering in the design phases to influence the design for optimum constructability
• Experience with project turnarounds and tie-in completion

Skills / Qualifications:

Knowledge, skills and experience:

• Appropriate level of field E&I/C construction experience, typically gained through a minimum of 10 years experience managing large I&E construction projects
• Exposure to working within a technical environment
• Experience of people management in a construction context
• Good standard of general computer literacy
• Demonstrated success in management of construction projects
• Possess working knowledge of all projects plans, specifications, Owner Contract, subcontracts, purchase orders, daily correspondence, drawings, submittals, and all other project related documents and maintain a complete and accurate set of as-built drawings
• Estimating experience, a plus
• Able to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency
• Self-motivated with skills to motivate others
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
