Job Description

Prescient Edge is seeking a Business Development Intern to support our BD team in their capture and proposal efforts. The goal of this internship is to ensure that the individual is able to apply academic theories to real-world situations and dilemmas in the workplace. This internship is intended to provide the student with experience across multiple domains, work with innovative professionals, learn about the Government contracting industry, and gain experience in a fast-paced environment.

As a Business Development Intern, you will:

• Support the Business Development team’s capture efforts through organized planning, scheduling, communicating, team building, solutioning, and building of win plans.
• Coordinate with internal personnel in the pursuit of opportunities, data calls, solution planning, subcontract documentation, NDA and TA coordination efforts, and other tasks. 
• Participate in strategy development sessions, including technical, teaming, past performance, staffing, pricing, etc.
• Assist in the development of customer profiles, including customer needs, issues, opportunities, biases, etc.
• Assist in the research and development of competitive assessments, determining the strengths and weaknesses of Prescient Edge and its potential competitors.
• Collaborate with the Business Development team and subject matter experts to develop solutions that offer customers recognized value, are price competitive, executable, and will be evaluated favorably.
• Contribute to proposal efforts, including research, key messaging, structure, solutioning sessions, win themes, color team reviews, compliance, and submissions.
• Work with the business development team to identify opportunities, catalogue opportunities and efforts throughout the five capture phases, and maintain ongoing databases of business development efforts. 
• Utilize attention to detail to ensure that all deliverables are produced on time and with high quality, including no grammar errors, typos, run-on sentences, etc.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree
• Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and business acumen skills
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
• Fluency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to think critically and creatively about complex issues
