Prescription Landscape is Hiring an Urban Land Care Production Manager Near Saint Paul, MN

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages and schedules labor, equipment and materials to accomplish production schedules within established budgets. Maintains strict adherence to established schedules and budgets.

  • UnderstandsGardening and Urban Landcare project plan specifications and ensures they are met and maintain customers satisfaction.Make necessary production decisions with emphasis on Quality, Efficiency, and Integrity.

  • Provides Gardening and Urban Landcare project plans to Crew Leads at the start of the day and provides instruction and oversight to ensure Crew Leads and Crews are prepared to complete the job.

  • Ensures all work is completed in adherence to safety policies and guidelines. Conducts regular safety meetings and inspections with assigned staff.

  • Visit job sites on a regular basis, observing organization of work, identifying and resolving training issues, and taking necessary actions to ensure quality.

  • Maintain day-to-day working knowledge of all work in progress, including field completion status, billings to date in Company’s CRM program for assigned branch.

  • Monitors job costs and reports to VP Operations any jobs deviating from budgets, schedules, costs, or any other factors so appropriate adjustments can be made to maximize end results.

  • Investigates any accident or safety violation, prepares appropriate reports, takes action to correct and prevent future occurrences. Defines and implements solutions to reoccurring accidents or more common safety concerns.

  • Maintains proper inventory of materials, equipment and ensures other supplies are on hand to complete Gardening and Urban Landcare production activities.

  • Order materials, equipment and supplies as needed within purchasing limits.

  • Implement and document all training of assigned team members

  • Conducts timely performance discussions and takes corrective actions when appropriate.

  • Supervise employees, keeping attendance records, enforcing proper uniform and safety equipment use, and approving timecards.

  • Partners with Operations Manager and Human Resources with overall human resource management of field staff within the Gardening and Urban Landcare service line. Includes hiring, training, coaching, mentoring and developing staff to reach potential and established goals for individual and Gardening and Urban Landcare service line. Identifies and develops Urban Landcare Crew Leads.

  • Maintain sufficient staff to accomplish Gardening and Urban Landcare production schedules for assigned branch and analyzes future needs, forecasting staff and material needs to complete future jobs.

  • Responsible for the organization, cleaning, and basic upkeep of the facility as well as assigned equipment and vehicles.

  • Assist with security arrangements at all facilities including, but not limited to, the daily start/finish of assigned Gardening and Urban Landcareservice line personnel, equipment, vehicles, and other assets, and employee access to the lot and building.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Must maintain regular and reliable attendance at a level acceptable to the company, including the ability to work extended work hours as necessary.

  • Must have the ability to perform manual labor including repeated physical bending, kneeling, squatting, and liftingupto 50 pounds independently.

  • Ability to maintain personal appearance and grooming, as detailed in Employee Handbook and Professionalism Guidelines.

  • Adheres to Employer expectations regarding conduct as specified in the Employee Handbook and Professionalism Guidelines.

SEASONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide field estimates for assigned Gardening and Urban Landcareprojects

  • Plan, prepare, route, staffing, equipment and materials

  • Provide quality assurance of Gardening and Urban Landcare projects by checking random customer sites whenever possible and observing work of assigned crews

  • Maintain appropriate inventories of materials for assigned Gardening and Urban Landcare projects

  • Provide training incompetent operations of all tractors, trucks, trailers, and service line equipment

  • Provide training in landscape techniques of planting trees/shrubs, and other various landscaping tasks

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with and assist Field Supervisors with any routing or scheduling work issues.

  • Monitor and direct crew activities for branch departure each morning

  • Ensure crews have all equipment and supplies needed for daily work

  • Influence positive attitude of staff through effective use of interpersonal skills

  • Check properties and spot check crews

  • Coordinate and execute requests from account managers

  • Complete work in progress updates and work completion status in Aspire

WEEKLY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct weekly safety meeting with assigned staff

  • Attend bi-monthly Operations/Production meeting

  • Monitor facilities lots, trucks and trailers for cleanliness and organization

  • Monitor labor hours and adjust as needed
