Job Purpose

The Innovation Project Manager will play an integral part of the Innovation & Commercialization team, focusing on foodservice product development from development to post-launch troubleshooting. Working with cross-functional teams including R&D, retail, marketing, supply chain, finance, and operations, the Innovation Project Manager will be responsible for successfully commercializing and launching up to 20 different projects simultaneously, all related to product development. The Innovation Project Manager will lead and coordinate projects through the entire lifecycle to ensure successful product commercialization and launch, and oversee development, pricing, customer approval, scale-up, rollout, and post-launch activities. The Innovation Project Manager will lead projects and spend about 60% on commercialization-oriented projects, and the remaining 40% on Special Projects including routine project management, oversight “stage gate management” projects, reporting on project statuses, consumer research projects, concept development and consumer research. NOTE: This role requires onsite work in our Culver City, CA Support Center. Hybrid schedule with 3 days/week onsite (Tuesday – Thursday).

Responsbilities

• Lead and coordinate projects through the entire lifecycle, from development to post-launch troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, R&D, sales and supply chain to ensure seamless product commercialization from concept to launch.
• Analyze business trends and use data to identify trends and potential issues; to facilitate proactive business decision-making while ensuring standards.
• Ensure that resources are allocated and utilized according to business goals and maintaining an overview of all projects.
• Schedule meetings with stakeholders (R&D, Marketing, Business, Manufacturing, etc.)
• Review projects and deliverables.
• Ensuring objectives are in alignment with team’s goals.
• Documenting steps, scope, and milestones for completing a project.
• Tracking major KPIs and forecasting metrics related to projects, programs, portfolios, resources, and risks; especially after launch; tracking innovation KPI’s and marketplace.
• Ensure that project timelines are met, and key milestones are achieved.
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain efficient processes and timelines.
• Work closely with internal departments and occasionally engage with external customers during the innovation and commercialization process.
• Specialize in the juice/beverage division, overseeing the commercialization of juice products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, project management, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in project management / PMO experience
• Food & Beverage or CPG background required.
• Proven experience in project management on CPG product innovation projects; products that sell into Grocery Retail / Wholesale, Natural Channel.
• Agile certified or experience successfully delivering projects with agile project management methodologies a strong plus!
• Adept at simultaneously managing multiple projects.
• Proven experience in project management, preferably in the Food/Beverage (or foodservice) industry highly desired.
• Results-driven mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.
• Knowledge of product development and experience with stage gate processes.
