The Assistant Project Engineer role will provide technical support and assistance to the Project Engineer in overseeing multi-disciplinary engineering projects. The Assistant Project Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of projects, from assisting with technical studies and requirements management to coordinating project activities and communicating with team members.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Technical Support: Assist the Project Engineer in providing technical oversight across multiple disciplines, including structures, piping, naval architecture, and/or electrical engineering.

· Project Coordination: Support the execution of complex engineering projects from conception to completion, including assisting with technical studies, requirements management, and progress monitoring.

· Team Collaboration: Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, engineers, and stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and alignment of project objectives.

· Documentation Management: Assist in defining, generating, and reviewing project requirements documentation within defined scope, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with project objectives.

· Issue Resolution: Identify and escalate engineering, material, and planning issues as necessary, assisting in implementing solutions to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.

Competencies:

· Basic knowledge of scheduling and project management principles.

· Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office products, and other relevant engineering software tools preferred.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Enthusiasm to learn and grow in a fast-paced engineering environment.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Three to Five (3-5) years' experience in shipyard design and ship construction
• Some relevant experience as an engineering assistant or project management assistant roles preferred.
