Position Description: We are seeking an ambitious individual with extensive health plan knowledge to join our team! As a member of our benefits operations department, you will be responsible for handling the administration of all non-Prestige client plans.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Process all aspect of renewals (June/November/January)
  • Process and administer the installation of new plans
  • Communicate with carriers and clients
  • Collect and maintain plan documentation
  • Audit plans
  • Claims assistance
  • Partner with Accounting to reconcile bill
  • Benefit system set up for new plans
  • Assist with Open enrollment:
    • Prepare the system for every client renewal change (benefits and contributions) for Open Enrollment
    • Update all benefit rules for every client and class for every benefit offered for individual client Open Enrollment
Education and Experience Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years experience in the field of Employee Benefits
  • Exceptional computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office) and the ability to learn and adapt to new systems
  • Broker license preferred
Skills and Personal Qualifications:
  • Fundamental understanding and experience in administration of employee benefits and the community-rated market
  • Working knowledge of compliance with ERISA and IRS laws
  • Ability to administer multiple priorities at once
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Salary in New York is around $65K - $70 based on experience
