Prezzee, a global leader in digital gifting, is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to ensure our financial integrity and support our growth. You'll oversee core financial tasks, collaborating with international teams to drive excellence.

Hybrid role based in Sydney 

Your Role:

Financial Reporting: 

• Prepare and provide analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the ANZ entities, including investigating variances, identifying trends, and providing insights/ commentary to support decision-making by senior management and recommend cost-reduction solutions as identified.
• Statutory/compliance reporting for the Group including managing the annual audit, liaise with the auditors and assisting with the preparation of the statutory financial report, and any ad hoc reporting for government bodies and regulatory agencies.
• Assist with the preparation and presentation of reporting materials to the Board.

Financial Accounting and Process: 

• Support the financial control and accounting function through completion of month -end close tasks, general ledger reconciliations and maintenance to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records. 
• Ensuring accounting policies are adhered to and balance sheet accounts are clean, current and correct.
• Assistance with any new commercial projects and product launch from finance perspective.

Process Improvement Contribution: 

• Actively participate in assessing and improving financial accounting and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Identification of required new processes within the accounting function or within businesses and implementation of those new processes (including adequate internal controls).
• Other ad hoc tasks as required.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in a similar, ideally in service focused industry. 
• CPA or CA qualification.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Strong understanding of AASB/IFRS standards; US GAAP is highly desirable.
• Experience in regulatory reports and coordinating with tax accountants is highly desirable 
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage complexity.
