Greetings,

We are looking for a Platform Engineer(Data Center)--Onsite for our direct client at Kansas City, MO for 18 months contract.

Job Description:

This is and on-site position. To efficiently and effectively plan and implement equipment in the Data Center you need to be on site. We determine where items are to be installed or removed, connectivity, and put in the change records with supporting documentation to seek approval and hand off to the integrators for execution. We then validate the work was completed as requested and hand off to the requestor. The team also troubleshoots issues with the equipment and connectivity.

Receiving work requests through an Agile Kanban board and Incident Management system. Planning/supporting the Data Center footprint and the installation/removal of equipment/cabinets in the Data Center. Submitting Change Records with supporting documentation.

What are your top 3 required technical skills?

• Experience with installing/supporting physical Data Center class equipment (blade servers, rack mount servers, storage, network…etc)
• Troubleshooting hardware issues
• Troubleshooting connectivity issues

What are a couple of desired/nice to have skills?

• Familiarity with Mainframe and Storage connectivity/physical installation
• Troubleshooting circuit provider connectivity
