Relevant vocational training or 5 years of experience working in an equivalent role
• Hands-on mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly experience; Optical and ESD sensitive component assembly and handling experience preferred
• Experience with hand tools (drivers, drills, files, taps) and assembling of devices
• Experience with high accuracy measuring devices (calipers, micrometer, dial indicator, laser, etc.)
• Basic electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with operating reliability test equipment (such as thermal chambers) and working with reliability engineers for planning, execution, and data collection
• Experience working in labs, working on consumer electronics
• Ability to handle PCB flexes, sensitive equipment (such as cameras and microphones)
Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Read 2D engineering drawings; knowledge of 3D geometry and 2D drafting experience preferred (e.g. NX)
• Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Soft Skills:
• Able to work in a self-directed, hands-on manner with minimal direct supervision; Experience working in production and/or service support environments preferred
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Sense of ownership where problems are resolved and not delegated
• Ability to manage tasks and be on top of things
