We are looking for an ITIL Asset Management Lead for a major firm headquartered in CT. Role is fully remote - but needs to work EST hours. This is a contract to hire role, no third-party resumes please.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, monitor, and record software assets for the organization
• Develop and promote an effective ITAM strategy, policy and best practices within the organization
• Work with business stakeholders to manage the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of the IT asset repositories (CMDB or similar)
• Perform verification and auditing of the asset management database
• Make sure the content of the database is accurate
• Maintain an accurate inventory of software assets including version control, licensing details and usage statistics
• Establish and maintain documentation of procedures, processes, and reports concerning asset and configuration management
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and policies related to asset management.
• Perform research on industry best practice and incorporate it with organizational practices

Qualifications

• Strong background in software asset management (licensing, procurement, IT Operations, etc.)
• Strong understanding of ITIL principles and best practices.
• Any experience with IT monitoring (splunk, Grafana, ELK, logicmonitor, datadog, etc) is a plus, not required.
• Experience with ITIL, ITSM or ITOM tools and concepts. Certification/training is a plus!
• ServiceNow experience a plus
• Ability to analyze data and provide insights
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Bachelors degree or similar
