Project Manager Property & Casualty Insurance
My name is Bill Stevens and I have a new six month plus Project Manager opportunity available for a major firm in Jersey City, New Jersey that could be of interest to you, please review my specification below and I am available at any time to speak with you so please feel free to call me. The work schedule will be a hybrid one, three days a week in the office and two days remote. Candidates should be capable of working on Eastern Standard Time (EST). The ideal candidate should also possess a green card or be of citizenship.
This position pays $57.00 per hour on a w-2 hourly basis or $63.00 per hour on a Corp basis. The Corp rate is for independent contractors only and not third-party firms. No Visa entanglements and no H1-B holding companies.
Job Summary:
The firm is seeking a Project Manager within the PMO supporting the firms Global Digital Analytics Organization/portfolio. This role will see the PM assisting in overseeing and coordinating various projects. The role will work closely with other project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and effectively, meeting all objectives and deadlines.
This role will track progress and provide senior leadership the communication materials needed to remain up to date and act, when necessary. This role will work across all stakeholder groups to facilitate meetings and workshops, follow up on key deliverables/takeaways, ensure adherence to plan and leverage internal governance structures to raise and resolve issues as they arise. The position must be able to able to identify opportunities for project delivery improvement and transform that into action. The position must be able to review current processes and procedures and adapt them to changing business requirements.
Responsibilities:
Update, advise, and collaborate with the other Project Manager(s) regarding the ongoing alignment of the projects to the business strategy.
Identify, track, and help resolve cross-project dependencies and conflicts.
Support organizational community meetings and workshops.
Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of insurance projects from initiation through completion.
Collaborate with senior project managers to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, and status reports.
Coordinate project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Monitor project progress and identify and address any issues or risks that may arise.
Communicate regularly with project team members and stakeholders to provide updates on project status, milestones, and deliverables.
Assist in conducting project meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and documenting meeting minutes.
Support senior project managers in managing client relationships and expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying areas for process optimization and efficiency gains.

Detail-oriented and analytical, with the ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions.
Knowledge of the property and casualty insurance industry is a plus only and not a requirement.
Established reputation for building relationships with Project Managers and project teams in a large, complex organization and effectively leveraging those relationships to engage/influence outcomes.
Willingness to jump in where needed to assure portfolio, program, and project success.
Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to work with both technology and subject matter experts in the business.
Solid influencing skills
Experience:
2-4 years of PM experience
Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or a related field.
