- Execute the production schedule by efficiently managing resources (people, materials, and equipment) to ensure timely completion of orders.
- Act as a change agent, continuously seeking to improve processes and resource utilization using problem-solving techniques and lean manufacturing methodology.
- Optimize resource utilization to support the organization in meeting financial commitments.
- Ensure the highest quality in produced parts and assemblies.
- Oversee personnel to ensure duties are executed safely and participate in the site’s safety committee.
- Manage personnel to align workload with production requirements, including stock, make-to-order components, customer orders, and repair orders.
- Plan material flow through production and develop machine layouts according to work orders.
- Recommend improvements in production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Coordinate with other departments to meet customer order deadlines.
- Adjust manpower and overtime to meet changing production demands.
- Resolve work problems and develop workers' problem-solving skills.
- Motivate workers to achieve goals.
- Manage labor time and production records using UltiPro (UKG) and ERP systems.
- Execute the TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) program.
- Conduct material cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory according to the ERP system.
- Two-year college or technical school certificate, or six to twelve months of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP or Epicor preferred).
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in standard Windows-based applications.
- Knowledge of the Epicor ERP system is a plus.
- Understanding of machine safety standards and their application.
- Strong problem-solving skills and efficient time and resource management.
- Ability to evaluate cost/benefit relationships as they relate to design and customer ROI.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated.
- Enthusiastic and creative in meeting customer needs and achieving company goals.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Frequently required to stand and walk.
- Occasionally required to lift or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
