Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Project Lead III to join our team. This is a remote position based in Texas, with occasional travel to Austin, TX.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex IT project lead work for transitioning WIC EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) and MIS (Management Information Systems) platforms from an offline to an online system.
- Implement standard project management industry practices and understand the PMI framework.
- Establish project organization and methodology.
- Coordinate activities across multiple projects and communicate with program customers and IT teams.
- Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers and coordinate activities between third-party vendors and multiple state programs and IT teams.
- Identify dependencies between multiple projects and develop plans to mitigate risks.
- Create project timelines, project tracking documents, and other related project artifacts.
- Comprehend and communicate complex technical designs and implementations, as well as complex business processes.
- Develop and make presentations to leadership and oversight entities (e.g., steering committees).
- 8 years of project management experience for large-scale complex projects.
- 8 years of State of Texas or similar Federal/State project management experience.
- Strong skills in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation.
- Ability to manage multiple overlapping projects.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- 5 years of State of Texas Project Delivery Framework experience.
- Knowledge of State of Texas QAT process for major Information Resources projects (MIRP).
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
- Experience in business or systems analysis.
- Agile methodology experience.
