Certifications & Licenses

• Ph.D. in Organic/Medicinal Chemistry or a related discipline
• Experience working in a laboratory that carries out chemical research and experience with safety issues associated with chemistry laboratories.
• Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems and the programs ChemDraw, Power Point, Excel, Word, and other chemistry search engines such as SciFinder and/or Reaxys

Statement of Work Details:

• Supports the planning and execution of research experiments in the context of the laboratory's overall research program.
• Maintains laboratory equipment and the training of others in their use.
• Assists in maintaining adequate space and facilities for ongoing and projected research studies.
• Evaluates, analyses and interprets research data, communicates results and methods in reports, presentations, and manuscripts.
• Coordinates with junior staff to modify research protocols.
• Presents research at national scientific meetings and symposia.
• Provides interpretation of results, guidance, and scientific support to the management team.
• Mentors junior level scientists.
