Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's hospital facility in Irvine, CA . This is a 13-weeks contract role, with possible extension.

Essential Job Duties:

-The Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for maintaining a highly professional environment, ensuring a collaborative relationship with patients and physicians.

-The MA will assist with the non-clinical tasks required to ensure smooth patient access and flow including scheduling patients which can include follow up office visits, imaging and lab work, preparation of appropriate chart elements.

-The responsibilities of this position would also include pre-authorization process and acting as a liaison between the providers and patient.

-The Medical Assistant will work collaboratively with staff to ensure all proper records are received and all appropriate testing is completed prior to appointment/surgery date.

-The Medical Assistant will provide updates to the staff and patients on timing and status for all the above tasks that could have an impact on the patient’s health and/or testing and treatment options.

-Ensures even patient flow and continuous communication within Hoag and referring physician offices.-May be required to start at a different location throughout the workweek or travel to multiple sites.

Job Requirements:

-High school graduate or equivalent; Graduate of Medical Assistant program or one year previous medical back-office experience, preferably within an acute healthcare system environment.

-Working Knowledge of EPIC or other Electronic Medical Record system ‘EMR’.

-Qualified bilingual or multilingual candidates.

Shift Time : Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Location : Irvine, CA

Floating Requirements : NA.

Pay range : $20-24/hr.
