Pride Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technologist to support our client's hospital facility in Frisco, CO . This is a 13-weeks contract role, with possibility of conversion.

Essential Job Duties:

• Responsible for performance of all levels of general testing within the analytical laboratory.

• Provides a high level of technical knowledge and application of that knowledge to department testing and clinical relevance. Consistently functions in a self-directed manner and exhibits complex problem-solving skills.

• Maintains a safe and clean working environment.

• Follows laboratory, hospital, and regulatory agency policies, procedures, and guidelines.

• Performs cytogenetic testing with a high level of competency according to established protocols.

• Generates and reports results which are used for making accurate diagnoses and prognoses which influences patient care and management

• Completes required QC and maintenance, consistently recognizing variances and documenting appropriate corrective action.

• Participates in detecting and documenting occurrences that deviate from defined procedures.

• Acknowledges receipt of specimens in laboratory information system.

• Receives specimens, assesses priority, assures appropriate specimen identification, and appropriate specimen type. May include ordering and processing of hospital registered and outreach patients.

• Centrifuges, aliquots, and distributes samples to appropriate testing area.

Job Requirements:

• 9 year of related work experience preferred

• Associate degree required

• MLT with ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification required within 6 months of hire.

Shift Time : Days (40 hrs/week)

Location : Frisco, CO

Floating Requirements : Would be required.

Pay range : $1,826.00 weekly package.

*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise and education.
