Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in Kerrville, Texas. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
 
Responsibilities:

• Patient Escort and Assistance: Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms as needed.
• Patient Data Recording: Record patient data before each physician visit, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
• Preparation and Stocking: Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as needed, ensuring all rooms adhere to disinfection protocols.
• Administrative Support: Perform various administrative duties such as typing, filing, faxing, chart preparation, reception, and entering orders under a provider’s supervision.
• Patient Communication and Prescription Management: Answer patient telephone calls, phone in prescriptions, and make other patient calls as directed by physicians and RNs. Inform physicians of patient reschedules and no-shows.

Qualifications: 

• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Medical Assistant certification or registration is required.
• Minimum three years of experience as a medical assistant.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Current BCLS certification required within 3 months of hire.

Additional Information:  

• Location:  Kerrville, Texas
• Occasional travel to Fredericksburg, Texas.
• Job Type: contract to hire.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday – 08:30 am to 05:00 pm
• Pay Range: $ 15.75 to 20.00/hour. 

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
