PrideNow is hiring a Manufacturing/Production Technician. This is a direct hire placement for one of our manufacturing clients in Troy, MI.

Our client will eventually be moving to the Warren area so candidates must be comfortable training in Troy and then moving over to the Warren facility over the next couple of months.

Pay Rate: $20-$25/hr. based on experience/skillset

Shift: 6:30 am-4 pm Monday-Thursday with occasional OT on Friday if needed

Job Duties:

• Operate and maintain machinery such as cold saws, power tools, and other equipment used in metal cutting and fabrication processes.
• Utilize measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and tape measures, to ensure accuracy and precision in cutting and shaping metal components.
• Follow production schedules and work orders to meet quality and quantity requirements within specified timelines.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
• Inspect raw materials and finished products for quality defects, identifying and addressing any issues to maintain product integrity.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to promote a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge in metal cutting techniques, machinery operation, and safety practices.
• General shop duties to help where needed

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of manufacturing & production experience
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately
• Basic Math & measurements/tolerance knowledge
• Machine Maintenance experience is a plus
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Metal Fabrication, Metal Cutting, or Metal forming experience is a plus
