JOB DESCRIPTION The nation’s premier specialty diagnostic laboratory in Jupiter, FL, is seeking an experienced billing specialist.

This is a full-time, permanent position, and the schedule is M - F, 8 : 30 to 5 : 00, plus one Saturday per month (will then have a day off during the week).

Job Summary :

The billing specialist is responsible for creating invoices, processing payments, and collection items. They will also assist clients with billing issues over phone and email.

This position is scheduled to work Monday-Friday and required to work at least one Saturday per month.

Job Responsibilities :

• Verify insurance
• Enter and create new invoices in QuickBooks
• Respond to emails and phone calls
• Assist with balancing daily deposits
• Enter new clients into QuickBooks
• Loading customized pricing
• Processing payments for supplies
• Additional tasks may be assigned at any time by the supervisor

Qualifications & Skills :

• High school diploma
• Proficient in QuickBooks
• 3 years of experience in billing, preferred, but 1 - 2 years required
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (basic Excel, and must have Outlook); also, experience using medical software is preferred but not required (such as medical billing / coding)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Organization skills
• Strong customer service skills to meet our high customer satisfaction mission
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
